Here we show…a message from our sponsor

Reading an article about deducing conformational dynamics from crystal data, I noticed that Nature family journals now include inline adverts in their full-text articles online.

Ironically, you’d need a subscription to see the article as I saw it. The authors have paid to publish, and the institution where I work has paid a site licence. The Nature webpages are anyway littered with ads. Now the adverts have been allowed to invade the flow of the text itself. I went back to get a little lo-res screen grab – for those of you that don’t want to pay $32 for the article just to see these ads.

NMethods inline advert

Astoundingly bad judgement by NPG.
